Adobe's AI dress π, Disney's cutest robot π€, celebrity AI replicas everywhere π©βπ€, and more!
Holaaaaaa! Welcome back to Augmented Rarity π½, your weekly source on emerging tech and future trends π‘
Letβs begin! π
π« My top 3
Adobe just released 11 experimental tools and features at Adobeβs Max, my top 3 (of the top 3 lol):
Project Primrose is Adobe's proposal for an interactive dress π that demonstrates the capabilities of "flexible textile displays".
Project Res-Up, that drastically boosts the quality of low-res GIFs and video footage ποΈ.
Project Dub Dub Dub, another AI tool that dubs speech into any language π, but this one really keeps the original voice of the speaker.
Disney has created a very expressive robot π€© that's not only adorable, but has the potential to revolutionise the animation industry by allowing for more realistic and emotionally expressive characters.
Fave, the AI app that connects fans with AI replicas of their favourite artists π©βπ€, has raised $2 million in its current funding round, which is expected to top $6 million. To make it even more dystopian, it even has a "fan verification" feature that gives users points for activities like streaming and meeting their favourite artist, as well as unlocking exclusive experiences and perks provided by artists. I'm well aware of Meta's AI replicas, let's wait until they launch the messaging feature.
π€ More interesting stuff
The robot that aims to compete with the Tesla bot but has the logo that every crypto company had in 2022, Figure, will be launched next week π€. We'll be reporting on it in the next issue. In the meantime, how much do you think it will cost? they claim to want to make it more affordable, but define affordable.
Siri can now give you personal updates ποΈ, which give you a summary of information from different apps that you might find helpful. Think weather, news or even news.
I hope you enjoyed the picks π½, letβs now get to the resources section π
